He was born into a creative family, his father is an actor at the Young Spectator’s Theater, and his mother is an actor at the Youth Theater. As a child, Ihnat Sidorčyk starred in the film Dunechka (2004), and later – in Russian TV series Mukhtar. Novyy sled. In the Young Spectator’s Theater, he played several seasons in the main role of the play Little Lord Fauntleroy.

In 2011, he graduated from the Belarusian Academy of Arts, Department of Directing. As the best student, he was sent to the Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography (VGIK) for an internship.

In 2016, together with the poet Julija Liž and friends, they staged a musical-experimental play Učyniena and in the Šarko Palace of Culture.

After several successful seasons of poetry evenings Reading on the fence in the legendary DK Bar, together with the poet Siarhiej Daŭhapołaŭ, he left for Petersburg, where they also organized poetry evenings.

He read poems in bars, on apartment buildings.

On August 10, 2020, Ihnat Sidorčyk was arrested, his parents could not find their son for two days. The basis for the criminal case was the telegram chat Prahułka, which police officers found on Ihnat Sidorčyk’s phone. He was also accused of blocking traffic in the evening after the elections near the Belarus Cinema in Minsk.

He was put in the Pre-trial Detention Center No. 8 in Žodzina and was later transferred to Pre-trial Detention Center No. 8 in Minsk.

On February 16, 2021, the Maskoŭski District Court in Minsk sentenced Ihnat Sidorčyk to three years of restriction of liberty with a referral to an open-type correctional facility. Judge Juryj Maškietaŭ found Ihnat Sidorčyk guilty under part 1 of Art. 342 of the Criminal Code.

On February 16, 2021, he was released from custody in the courtroom.

On June 13, 2021, he was sent to the open-type correctional facility in Škłoŭ to serve his sentence.

Ihnat Sidorčyk was recognized as a political prisoner.

Ihnat runs an Instagram page where he publishes his poems.
