Graduated from BSU with a major in Slavic philology: Belarusian and Ukrainian languages, worked at school No. 73 in Minsk, worked hand in hand with the National Library on the project “On the wave of time, in the flow of life”. Organized literary parties at the Faculty of Philology of BSU. Organized literary meetings for children from an orphanage in Minsk.

One of the authors of the volume Poems of Freedom (2017). Participant of Ruhavik and Art Jam literary parties. While studying at the Faculty of Philology of BSU, he founded the poetry community Lamant.

In October 2020, he performed poems in the Kurapaty tract at the poetry event The Night of the Shot Poets.

On August 12, 2020, he sang in the teachers’ appeal against violence “We taught you all”.

Aleś Minaŭ was arrested on August 25, 2021.

Aleś Minaŭ was charged under part 1 of Art. 342 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus (organization of group actions that grossly violate public order and are associated with clear disobedience to the legal requirements of representatives of the authorities and active participation in such actions).

On November 25, 2021, the Leninski District Court in Minsk sentenced him to three years in an open-type correctional facility under Article 342 of the Criminal Code and released him in the courtroom.

Now Aleś is abroad.

On October 21, 2022, the Ministry of Internal Affairs included Aleś in the “List of persons involved in extremist activities.”
