The websites can only be accessed from abroad or using VPN. The move comes in the wake of <a href=\"https:\/\/ipi.media\/belarus-government-moves-to-stamp-out-remaining-independent-media\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noindex noopener\">sustained attack<\/a> on any remaining independent voices within Belarus, targeting journalists, media outlets, civil society and cultural actors alike. The Belarusian PEN Centre was officially <a href=\"https:\/\/pen-international.org\/news\/belarus-authorities-dissolve-the-belarusian-pen-centre\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noindex noopener\">dissolved<\/a> on 9 August 2021, yet its members continue to issue groundbreaking research, including a <a href=\"https:\/\/penbelarus.org\/en\/2021\/10\/18\/bel-ru-manitoryng-parushennyau-kulturnyh-pravou-i-pravou-chalaveka-u-dachynenni-da-dzeyachau-kultury-studzen-verasen-2021.html\">report<\/a> documenting over 1000 cases of cultural rights and human violations documented between January and September 2021.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><em>\u2018The Lukashenko regime is clearly seeking to muzzle any remaining independent voices within Belarus. We stand once again by our brave colleagues at the Belarusian PEN Centre and call on the authorities to allow their work to be accessed within the country.
