He gave a <a href=\"https:\/\/belsat.eu\/en\/news\/01-07-2021-pillow-stifling-tear-gas-threats-of-rape-mikalai-dzyadok-gives-statement-about-torture-by-police\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">statement<\/a> about torture by police. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><b>Andrej Alaksandra\u016d<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> [Andrey Alyaksandrau], the imprisoned journalist, mediamanager and poet, <a href=\"https:\/\/belsat.eu\/en\/news\/01-07-2021-belarus-authorities-accuse-imprisoned-media-expert-andrey-alyaksandrau-of-high-treason\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">charged<\/a> with high treason (Article 356-1 of the Criminal Code).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-7682 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/penbelarus.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/1_maladoscz.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"275\" height=\"183\" \/ loading=\"lazy\">All employees of the state <b>magazine Ma\u0142ado\u015b\u0107<\/b>, which in creative circles was considered the best state literary magazine, quit \u2013 they were only four after the dismissal of editor-in-chief Sviat\u0142ana Vocinava in February 2021.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Several cultural figures informed that upon their return to Belarus at the border, their luggage went through a thorough check including filing a report. She eventually agreed to be moved to Poland, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">but the authorities are <a href=\"https:\/\/belsat.eu\/en\/news\/30-06-2021-imprisoned-leader-of-poles-union-agrees-to-leave-for-poland-but-belarus-authorities-stalling\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">holding<\/a> back the process in order to blackmail her colleague, journalist Andrzej Poczobut.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><b>Uladzimir Hundar<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, an activist and local historian, went on a hunger strike in the solitary confinement where he was placed for refusing to say it aloud that he was &#8220;prone to extremism&#8221;.
