While Alena and Antanina were later released, Vac\u0142a\u016d and Viktoryja, both authors of books in Belarusian, remain in custody.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to human rights defenders, at least ten people were detained that day, including publishers, publishing house staff, and book distributors.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On 21 February 2026, following the detentions, the Technalohija publishing house announced the suspension of its activities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On 3 March 2026, the KGB declared a non-existent \u201ccoalition of publishing houses\u201d an \u201cextremist formation.\u201d In doing so, they arbitrarily included unrelated publishing houses and book distributors, such as Kamunikat.org, Lohvinau Publishing House, and Andrei Yanushkevich Publishing, all of which are notable Belarusian-language publishers.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As part of this &#8220;formation,&#8221; the list included publishers detained on 17 February\u2014Zmicier Ko\u0142as, Vac\u0142a\u016d Bahdanovi\u010d, and Ale\u015b Ja\u016ddacha\u2014as well as Jaros\u0142aw Iwaniuk, Ihar \u0141ohvina\u016d, and Andrej Janu\u0161kievi\u010d, who are currently abroad.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On 13 March 2026, Vac\u0142a\u016d Bahdanovi\u010d was recognised as a political prisoner.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Vac\u0142a\u016d Bahdanovi\u010d was released on 24 March 2026.<\/p>\n<h5><strong>Creative activity:<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In 1988, he founded the publishing house Technalohija, which specialised in scientific, reference, educational, fiction, and non-fiction literature.<\/span><\/p>\n<h5><strong>Publications:<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Vac\u0142a\u016d Bahdanovi\u010d. <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bahdanovi\u010dy.
