Nadzieja Staravojtavaja and Natalla Sivickaja were sentenced to 3 years of house arrest and Alena Drabud\u017aka to 2.5 years of house arrest.<\/p>\n<h5><strong>Creative activity:<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>Nadzieja Staravojtava \u2013 writer, candidate of philological sciences, associate professor of the Department of Belarusian and Russian Languages of the Belarusian State Economic University, medievalist, popularizer of the Belarusian language, author of the novel &#8220;Orthography without rules&#8221; (2008), short stories, essays and poems.<\/p>\n<p>She researched the Belarusian Tri\u0161\u010daniana \u2013 translations of the world-famous medieval legend about the love of Try\u0161\u010dan and I\u017eota (Tristan and Isolde) into Belarusian.
